Braces are one of the wonders of modern dentistry, revolutionising how we treat and manage dental issues. Braces help in treating damaged teeth and aligning teeth to create a better dental and facial structures. However, braces require one to be well financially prepared, as they are known to cost quite a bit of money. With the introduction of the new medical scheme in Kenya, the Social Health Insurance Fund, which is spearheaded by the Social Health Authority and the Kenyan government, many patients are left to wonder whether braces are covered under this insurance at Nairobi Sterling Dental Clinic.
At Nairobi Sterling Dental Clinic, we are currently not accepting or working with SHIF/ SHA to provide patients with dental treatments, braces included. This is due to ongoing policy issues and reviews that concern the clinic and the government-funded insurance. The clinic will make efforts to bring it on board and hopes that many of our patients will get the help they need.
We, however, have put in place other measures to ensure that our patients get affordable and friendly costs for braces. These include:
Our fair costs of treatment.
The average cost of braces in Nairobi, Kenya is approximately Ksh. 80,000 to Ksh.350,000. This cost is also subject to variation, with other factors being considered. These include the consultation fees of the dental practitioner, extra procedures involved in the treatment, the level of expertise of the dentist and the complexity of the treatment. In most cases, these extra factors make the costs to soar up higher. For an average Kenyan, these prices may seem out of hand, and hence many people may shy away from seeking braces treatment. However, at Nairobi Sterling Dental Clinic, we have come up with a fair cost for the braces procedure.
Our braces treatment costs are customer-friendly and relatively cheaper. Our consultation fee is Ksh.3000, one of the lowest among dental centres in Nairobi. Moreover, our braces are affordable, ranging between Ksh. 75,000 for one jaw and Ksh. 150,000 and Ksh.180,000 for both jaws. We guarantee you that the smile and comfort from your teeth after treatment will be worth it. You get quality material that suits your aesthetic, comfort and treatment needs, all in one.
Friendly braces treatment plan.
As mentioned above, the cost of braces at our clinic is Ksh.75,000 per jaw and Ksh.150,000 for both jaws. To ensure easy access to this service, the clinic’s management has put in place a flexible payment plan for braces. Patients can now pay for 50% of the total treatment cost at the start of the treatment period. The remaining 50% of the cost can be paid during the treatment period. This deal allows patients to get access to braces at half the cost and plan an efficient way to meet the remaining costs. Furthermore, it also eases the burden of treatment and allows them to pay at their convenience.
Partnership with medical insurance companies
In addition to this, to further ease the cost of braces for our patients, we have partnered with various insurance companies in Kenya, that offer dental plans in their policies. Patients insured by these companies can now get access to services related to braces such as consultation, X-rays and cleaning. It however doesn’t cater for the braces themselves. Our insurance partners are reliable and trustworthy companies, with reputable insurance conduct and services. Our partnerships are changing the dynamics of access to braces and other dental services, for the better.
These insurance companies are:
- UAP Insurance
- MADDISON insurance
- GA Insurance
- Saham Insurance
- Liaison Group Insurance
- Sedgwick Insurance
Though we do not work with the government-provided SHA insurance, we have other more reputable and reliable insurance companies to help our patients meet the costs of braces treatment. In addition to this, we also have fair and friendly pricing on pour braces treatment and an even better payment plan package. These ensure that we help you get that smile that turns heads no matter your financial status.
